Getting your resident list ready
The list is the part of setup that takes thought. Everything else takes minutes.
What the file needs
One row per person, with a street address and a first and last name. Add a column for the resident type, such as owner or renter, if you have one. Upload it as an Excel or CSV file. A Google Sheet shared by link can sync in too. The importer finds the header row and the address and name columns on its own, so you rarely need to rename anything.
Where the file comes from
Most property software can export an owner or resident list as Excel or CSV. The Workflows by software section of the help center links to a short guide for each platform we know, and the import page covers the columns in more detail.
Preview before you save
Every import is previewed before anything is saved. If your file has a dues column, the preview also shows which households it would flag. When you confirm, the list is saved, and you can undo the last import for 24 hours.
Keeping it current
Upload a new file when owners change, or let a shared Google Sheet sync. A household you barred by hand stays barred when you import dues: imports only touch the flags they created.
