Getting started

From nothing to your first check-in in six steps. Inside your account, a Get started page keeps the checklist and turns each step green once the work is done.

Your first community is free
  1. Create your account

On the sign-up page, give us your organization, your first community and its time zone. Your email is your username. Your first community starts on the Free plan.

    • First community
    • Time zone
    • Email
    • Password
  2. Set your hours and rules

Opening hours for each day of the week, the most guests one household may bring and which kinds of check-in you allow.

  3. Add your resident list, or skip it

Upload an Excel or CSV file, link a Google Sheet or type people in. Here is how the upload works. No list yet? Switch on walk-in check-in and attendants take a name and a headcount.

    • Excel or CSV
    • Google Sheet
    • Type them in
    • Walk-ins instead
  4. Create sign-ins for your gate staff

Board volunteers, pool monitors and lifeguards each get their own username and a temporary password that they change at first sign-in.

  5. Register a tablet or phone

On that device, open app.poolcheckin.com, sign in as a gate staff member and enter your pool's PIN. It is asked once per device, and an administrator can cancel it at any time.

  6. Check in your first household

Search a name or street, tap who is here and the check-in shows on your dashboard. You can also add a community manager who watches the day without administrator rights.

Create your free account

Signing up is one short form. Free covers one community with one pool, with every check-in and report feature included. Run it on a tablet, a kiosk, phones or a computer.
